Making this healthy ranch dip at home is so easy and so good, you won't even miss the bottled stuff!

Healthy Ranch Dip-7

I get the very best recipe creating inspiration from my friends!

This healthy ranch dip is no different!

It seems like almost every conversation I have turns into food, instant pot, air fryer or meal prep related, and I am 100% ok with it.

Recently, a friend of mine was talking to me about reducing the amount of processed food in their diet, but  wondered how they would live without ranch dip (and dressing).

That is how this recipe was born - to help a friend cut out processed store bought ranch and replace it with a DIY, protein packed version!

Healthy Ranch Dip-6

The base of this dip isn't sour cream or mayo. This base is cottage cheese! For the thickening agent, I used protein packed plain Greek yogurt.

Just a fun fact, this healthy ranch dip ends up packing a whopping (approximate depending on brands used)  65g of protein for the mason jar shown in these pictures.

Then you add in all of the classic pantry spices that create what we know as ranch, and bam! Healthy Ranch Dip.

Healthy Ranch Dip-8

Now, to get this thick texture, I use cottage cheese blended up a bit with plain Greek yogurt, but, you can make this more of a dressing by reducing the yogurt and blending it longer for a thinner texture.

Either way, you are going to be dipping all the things you can in this.... or pouring it on all the veggies... or wings!

Healthy Ranch Dip-2

Are you ready to try this version of healthy ranch dip?!

Sooo tasty. How do I make it look more like yours. Mine turned out more green with some darker green flakes rather than white with some green flakes. It was still gone in no time but the asthetic would be nice.

Next time, blend everything except the green herbs. After blending fold those spices in. That will get the aesthetic you are looking for.

This is now all we use as ranch in the house! It’s my fave! I love it with dried herbs or fresh! I usually add a little bit of lactose free skim milk to thin it out when we have lots of people over! (Pre covid lol) Such a creative recipe!
    Thanks for this one, Steph!!
