Cube your potatoes and place into the steamer basket. Peeling the potatoes is your choice.
Add 2 cups water into the instant pot liner, then load the basket in.
Select the steam function and set the pressure cook time to 7 minutes.
When the pressure cycle is complete, quick release the pressure.
Lift the steamer basket out, and set aside.
Dump the water in the liner out.
Place the liner back into the Instant Pot base and add the potatoes from the steamer basket.
Add the cheese, cream, and butter.
Using a potato masher, mash the potatoes to desired consistency. Add more liquid if needed.
Set the Instant Pot to keep warm and let the mashed potatoes sit there until time to serve.
