Instant Pot Savory Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Instant Pot savory garlic mashed potatoes kick your holiday mashed potatoes up a notch, and will impress all of your guests, and is super easy for you!

Equipment

  • 6 Quart Instant Pot
  • Instant Pot Steamer Basket

Ingredients

  • 6 cups cubes russet potatoes
  • 2 cups water
  • 150g package Garlic & Fine Herb Boursin Cheese
  • 1/2 cup cream or milk add more milk if you prefer smoother mashed potatoes
  • 3 Tbsp butter
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Cube your potatoes and place into the steamer basket. Peeling the potatoes is your choice.
  • Add 2 cups water into the instant pot liner, then load the basket in.
  • Select the steam function and set the pressure cook time to 7 minutes.
  • When the pressure cycle is complete, quick release the pressure.
  • Lift the steamer basket out, and set aside.
  • Dump the water in the liner out.
  • Place the liner back into the Instant Pot base and add the potatoes from the steamer basket.
  • Add the cheese, cream, and butter.
  • Using a potato masher, mash the potatoes to desired consistency. Add more liquid if needed.
  • Set the Instant Pot to keep warm and let the mashed potatoes sit there until time to serve.

Notes

Got Leftovers? Store them in the fridge for up to 4 days or freeze.
Thaw and microwave to reheat.
