Next to the question "which instant pot should I buy?", "which accessories do you use and love?" is the second most asked question I get online and in my Instant Pot Masterclasses.
So, here is the list of the accessories I recommend.
1. Long Leg Trivets
This is the first thing you need if you want to attempt any pot in pot recipes. This is how you cook 2 things at once, yet separate, at the same time! It allows you to make the ultimate one pot dinners!
I have 2. I have this 2 inch trivet. But.... I will note that delivery took over a month here in Canada.
If you watch my pot in pot video for my Greek Chicken Skewers with Lemon Dill Pilaf on my Facebook Page or watch my Instagram Stories, this is the trivet you see.
Get this on Amazon in Canada, or the US.
2. Egg Trivets
This package come with 2 trivets, with 2 different heights. The taller one is about 3 inches and also works for pot in pot.
I like this 2 pack set because if you do use them for pot in pot, you have more flexibility for using different sized bowls.
Get this on Amazon in Canada, or the US.
3. Stainless Bowl
Ok, so I use this as my pot in pot bowl... but it isn't really a bowl. It is an Indian Spice Dabba and I love it because it fits perfect in the 6 quart in both diameter and height.
You can use any stainless bowl, but finding one that fits that was cheaper we making me lose my mind, so I bit the bullet and got this... and have no regrets!
Get this on Amazon in Canada, or the US.
4. Springform Pan
I use this for making lasagna and frittatas. You can also make a cheesecake with it.
Get this on Amazon in Canada, or the US.
5. Steamer Basket
I used this for eggs before I got it, and I use it for dumplings or any of my root veggies. It gets the most use when making mashed potatoes!
Get this on Amazon in Canada, or the US.
6. Pot Retriver
Because my stainless bowl above fits so nicely into the pot, it can be hard to get out, so I use this pot retriever to grab the bowl out!
Get this on Amazon in Canada, or the US.
7. Glass Lid
If you are going to use some of the non pressure functions such as slow cooking, you may want to invest in a glass lid.
Get this on Amazon in Canada, or the US.
8. Mini Mitts
Ok, this seems like such a meh accessory, but it is the one thing I use EVERY SINGLE TIME. Love these bad boys!!
Get this on Amazon in Canada, or the US.
9. Silicone Lid
Are you the kind of person that likes to prep a meal ahead of time and then just pop the liner into the base?
Me too!
This is perfect for prep ahead meals that you keep in the fridge until cook time.
Get this on Amazon in Canada, or the US.
10. Cook Time Cheat Sheet Magnet
No more searching Pinterest for cook times! This has 20 common foods that people are putting in their Instant Pots!
This fridge magnet lays out clean and simply, COOK TIME, BUTTON to use, and which PRESSURE RELEASE METHOD to use.
Food categories include Chicken, Beef, Pork Rice, Veggies, and other meals for things like lasagna and meatloaf!
This can be ordered on the Confessions of a Meal Plan Addict website.
So, there you have it, the 10 Instant Pot accessories I suggest... and the answer to one of the most frequently asked questions I get in the Confessions of a Meal Plan Addict Community.
